How you will make an impact

As a Senior Product Developer in our Family Nutrition team, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, milk-based powder products to international markets. You’ll join a strong team of eight passionate colleagues at Arla’s Innovation Centre in Aarhus, where creative, detail-oriented product development and technical expertise are at the core of everything we do. The position is a maternity cover expected from March to end of 2026.

• Participate in and support product and process development activities, incl. feasibility studies, recipe formulation, and ingredient selection.
• Turn concepts into innovative products that provide Arla with a commercial advantage, working closely with international markets.
• Plan, implement, evaluate and document experiments together with labs and production facilities.
• Support problem-solving related to product and quality challenges, ensuring optimal functionality for end users.
• Optimize working processes and systems, challenging existing practices to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Gain and apply consumer insights, prioritizing creative, out-of-the-box thinking.
• Ensure all activities are well-documented and aligned with project goals.

What Will Make You Successful

We are looking for someone who is curious, open-minded, and adaptable, with a strong sense of quality and a passion for both products and innovation. You should be able to see the bigger picture while maintaining attention to detail. You navigate change, work independently, and create momentum in an environment with many stakeholders and systems.

• Degree in food technology, food science, or dairy (preferably with knowledge of dairy ingredients).
• Minimum 4 years’ hands-on experience from a similar position in product development or production environments
• Solid knowledge of ingredients, their usage, and functionality in product matrices—preferably in powder.
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
