The company has expanded its MCI product range with the introduction of Lacprodan® MicelPure® Medical, specifically developed for medical nutrition. Extracted gently from milk, MCI is naturally rich in high-quality protein, making it ideal for addressing malnutrition—an issue affecting up to 70% of cancer patients and elderly individuals worldwide.
The new product features an optimized mineral profile and superior microbiological quality, meeting the stringent requirements of clinical nutrition. Additionally, AFI’s MCI ingredients offer a neutral taste, low viscosity, and high heat stability, making them easy to incorporate into both oral nutritional supplements and tube feeding products, including UHT-treated and shelf-stable formats.
