Taste is the top reason why Danes drink milk, with its nutritional value also ranking high, according to a new survey.
A recent study conducted by Dentsu on behalf of the Danish Dairy Board (Mejeriforeningen) among a representative sample of Danes shows that the taste of milk and its nutritional benefits are among the main reasons people in Denmark consume it. The Danish Dairy Board shared the findings on its website.
In the survey, Dentsu asked participants why they drink milk. Taste and health were the top responses, as shown below:
The majority of respondents use milk in their daily routines. 86% said they drink a glass of milk, pour it over breakfast cereal, use it in cooking, in coffee, or in other ways. That’s an increase from 2023, when 80% said they used milk daily.
In total, 77% of respondents consume milk at least once a week, while 44% drink it every day.
