Eurowind Energy and Arla have entered into another agreement for the purchase of electricity generated by wind and solar power from two of Eurowind Energy’s upcoming energy parks.
In 2022, Arla signed a 10-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Eurowind Energy for electricity from the Nørre Økse Sø Park near Brovst in North Jutland. This marked the first major step towards ensuring that Arla in Denmark achieves its goal of 100% green electricity by 2025.
The new agreement spans 10 years and provides Arla with 60,000 MWh of electricity annually, equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of 15,000 Danish households. During the period of the agreement, Arla will purchase nearly 2 TWh of electricity from the energy parks.
Eurowind Energy is a Danish company that develops, builds, and operates renewable energy parks, with a significant part of its business involving the sale of electricity to major customers.
