Global Dairy Trade traded dairy products again on Tuesday between some of the industry’s biggest players, with 16,787 tonnes of dairy products changing hands in 159 trades. This gave an average price of USD 3,893/ton. Butter otherwise did well with an increase of 6.2 per cent, but whole milk powder went the other way and the auction ended in an overall loss.

• Whole milk powder – 2,5 percent at USD 3,394/ton
• Skim milk powder  +0,7 percent at USD 2,766/ton
• AMF (milk fat) – 1,2 percent at USD 7,317/ton
• Butter + 6,2 percent at USD 7,350/ton
• Cheddar – 1,0 percent at USD 4,205 ton
• Lactose + 1,9 percent at USD 801/ton
