Arla Foods is now launching a Lurpak® Plant-based variant on the UK and Danish markets.
As more consumers buy both dairy products and alternatives, Lurpak® Plant Based aims to meet the changing consumer demands and new consumption habits. As a market leader, Lurpak® can add value for retailers and consumers alike with the launch of the new product. This information is provided by Arla Foods in a press release.
Peter Giørtz-Carlsen, EVP, CCO of Arla Foods Europe, underscores:
– As a farmer-owned cooperative, dairy products will always constitute a central part of Arla Foods. But in order to strengthen the position of our brands and attract new consumers, we need to innovate. We believe that there is room for both dairy products and alternatives in a healthy and sustainable diet, and our new innovation in plant-based products allows us to offer our customers that choice within our brand portfolio, he underlines.
– The plant-based category is growing, and the launch of Lurpak® Plant Based allows us to bring Lurpak’s quality and taste to the consumers. This ultimately ensures that we continue to drive growth in our portfolio and create value that comes back to our farmer owners, Peter Giørtz-Carlsen states in the press release.
Lurpak® Plant Based has a simple ingredient list that ensures the same functionality as Lurpak® Spreadable, and the product can be used for spreading directly on bread, for cooking, and for baking, according to the press release.
Lurpak® Plant Based will be launched in stores in Denmark from calendar week 35.
