Norrmejerier continues to update its packaging—a process that began last year.
Now, the dairy company is unveiling new designs for its classic hard cheeses: Herrgård®, Grevé®, and Präst®. A notable addition is the inclusion of the ”Från Sverige” label.
For over a decade, packaging for Norrmejerier’s classic cheeses has featured portraits of local dairy farmers. These are now being replaced by scenic images of the Norrland countryside. At the same time, the cheeses will begin carrying the ”Från Sverige” (From Sweden) label starting this autumn. This clearly communicates to consumers that the cheeses are made in Sweden—using milk sourced from northern Swedish farms and produced in accordance with Swedish standards.
Emphasizing the cheeses’ Swedish and Norrland origins is no coincidence. According to Norrmejerier’s latest consumer survey, 85% of residents in central Norrland consider it very important that dairy products are Swedish-made. In upper Norrland, that figure is nearly 74%—both significantly higher than the national average of 71%.
The landscape images featured on the new packaging come from different parts of northern Sweden: Jämtland (Herrgård®), Norrbotten (Grevé®), and Västerbotten County (Präst®). The updated packaging will be gradually rolled out in stores beginning in August 2025.
