Novonesis secured a new partnership with a major Japanese dairy company during a recent Danish trade mission to Japan.

His Majesty King Frederik, Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen, Minister for Food, Agriculture and Fisheries Jacob Jensen, Minister for Business Morten Bødskov, representatives from the Danish Agriculture & Food Council, as well as various Danish agri-food companies and producers, spent the week following Easter touring Japan to strengthen Danish export ties.

Anders Lund, COO and Executive Vice President of Novonesis, shared on LinkedIn that the trip was truly exceptional.

• It has been an honor to join His Majesty the King on his inaugural visit to Japan, alongside Jacob Jensen, Minister for Food, Agriculture and Fisheries, Lars Løkke Rasmussen, Foreign Minister, and Morten Bødskov, Minister for Business. Novonesis was proud to be part of a strong Danish business delegation,” he wrote on his LinkedIn profile.

He further noted that Novonesis succeeded in signing a partnership agreement with one of Japan’s largest dairy companies.

• I also had the pleasure of signing a new partnership agreement with Megmilk Snow Brand Co. Ltd., one of Japan’s leading dairy companies, before continuing my journey to Osaka, where His Majesty the King attended the official opening of Denmark Day at the 2025 EXPO, Lund added.

He concluded by saying it had been an exciting week and that he looks forward to continuing close collaboration with customers in Japan to support the development of a more sustainable future in food production.
