Record-breaking results for Naturli’ Foods

While foreign competitors are losing money, Danish company Naturli’ Foods has published a record-breaking annual financial report.

The sale of plant-based foods by international producers like Sweden’s Oatly, the U.S.-based Beyond Meat, and Nestlé has fallen far short of the plant-based boom they had hoped for. In contrast, Naturli’ Foods A/S has quietly been writing its own success story in Denmark and nearby export markets for the past 25 years, according to Økologi Nu.

Since its founding in 2000, Naturli’ Foods has consistently turned a profit, and this week the company announced its largest annual earnings to date. In 2024, it posted a record net profit of DKK 17.9 million, an increase of DKK 6.6 million compared to the previous year.

However, according to CEO Henrik Lund, the strong results didn’t come out of nowhere.

  • It’s taken a lot of hard work, and the growth can primarily be attributed to increased exports of our organic spreadable product to the UK and Germany—where, to my knowledge, we are the only ones offering an organic plant-based alternative to spreadable butter, says Henrik Lund, CEO of Naturli’ Foods.
