Novonesis has acquired Swiss DSM-Firmenich’s stake in the enzyme business Feed Enzyme Alliance for approximately DKK 11 billion.

The acquisition of DSM-Firmenich’s share in Feed Enzyme Alliance is part of Novonesis’ growth strategy and strengthens the company’s presence in animal biosolutions. Following the acquisition, Novonesis now owns the entire enzyme business.

• After more than 25 years of successful collaboration, a strategic repositioning at dsm-firmenich allowed this opportunity to materialize. This acquisition is aligned with Novonesis’ growth strategy and expands its presence across the animal biosolutions value chain. Financially, this transaction is accretive to revenue growth, adjusted EBITDA margin and adjusted EPS excl. amortization, with attractive revenue synergies, Novonesis stated in a press release on Tuesday morning.

Specifically, Novonesis will take over the sales and distribution activities of Feed Enzyme Alliance from DSM-Firmenich.

The acquisition of the remaining activities in Feed Enzyme Alliance is expected to contribute 3% revenue growth at the group level in 2025 and around 5% growth in the Planetary Health division.
