Global milk production is expected to increase in 2025 compared to the previous year, according to LandbrugsAvisen, citing British analysts.

The British research institute AHDB projects a 0.6% rise in global milk output compared to the forecasted volume for 2024.

Among key markets, AHDB anticipates a 0.7% increase in U.S. milk production next year. Argentina is expected to see a significant 4.7% surge, while New Zealand’s output is projected to grow by just over 1%, and the UK by 1.1%. Meanwhile, the EU’s milk production is forecasted to rise by 0.2%.

However, these predictions depend on stable weather conditions and an absence of disease outbreaks such as avian influenza and bluetongue. Additionally, rising tariffs could disrupt trade and slow growth.

AHDB underscores that the growing milk supply will be essential, particularly in China, where domestic production is declining while consumption continues to increase.
