At the Nordic Dairy Congress, the best of 12 scientific posters presented by young researchers was selected on Thursday morning.

To present the award for Best Scientific Poster, Dr. Nivedita Datta from Wiley Publisher made the long journey from Australia to Reykjavík, Iceland.
She had the following to say to the young researcher:

– The poster was considered well-composed, with innovative elements and a clear structure, which made it easy to follow a relatively complex subject. The use of new technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly applied across various disciplines, and in this study, it is used to better predict and understand the structure and texture formation of fermented dairy products.

And the winner is…
Sigrid Nørgaard Beldring with the poster titled:
“High Throughput and AI-Assisted Approach to Understand the Role of Extracellular Polysaccharides in Acid Gelation”.

All scientific posters were evaluated based on the following criteria:

• A uniquely thoughtful design combined with thoroughly developed scientific content.
• Meaningful content highlighting compelling key points.
• Compact information with substance and depth in each table and figure, reflecting the quality of the research theme.
• Relevance to dairy professionals and NDC participants, and the way the poster sparks interest and curiosity.
• A thought-provoking presentation.
