Chinese cheese-tea has landed in Paris

The Chinese tea brand HAYTEA has opened a pop-up store in Paris during the Olympics. HAYTEA’s special drink is “cheese tea.”

Founded in 2012, HAYTEA is a Chinese tea drink chain that now operates over 3,400 stores, primarily in China. The company aims to inspire young generations worldwide to enjoy its innovative tea drinks, which is why it use the Olympics as a marketing platform.

HAYTEA claims to have revolutionized the tea industry by introducing the first-ever cheese tea in 2012, combining authentic tea with real dairy cheese. In 2018, the company expanded its offerings by developing a series of teas that fuse real fruit with a whipped cheese layer on top.

This ambitious brand is known for its modern interior design, photogenic packaging, and innovative drinks. Its signature items include various cheese and fruit teas. According to a Wikipedia article, the cheese mixture used in their signature cheese tea is described as “a blend of New Zealand’s Anchor cheese, milk, cream, and salt.”

The pop-up store in Paris will be open until August 15.
