
For the fourth consecutive time, prices have fallen at the Global Dairy Trade (GDT) — the world’s largest auction for dairy products. The overall decline amounted to 1.6%.
At the GDT auction on October 7, 2025, the sharpest drop was seen in mozzarella, which fell by 11.8%. Butter prices were down 3%, while whole milk powder and buttermilk powder both declined by 2.3%, and skimmed milk powder slipped 0.5%.
On the positive side, anhydrous milk fat rose by 1.2%, and cheddar recorded a modest increase of 0.8%.
The average price across all products settled at €3,358.
