After 25 years with Arla and a brief break from the industry, Claus Hansen joins Nordex Food as Chief Operating Officer. He will lead production of white cheese for the global market.

Nordex Food is strengthening its management team with the appointment of seasoned dairy professional Claus Hansen, who takes up the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO) on 1 June 2026. He brings with him considerable experience from the dairy sector, having spent more than 25 years at Arla Foods. After spending the past six months focusing on his family, he now returns to the industry in a central operational role at the family-owned cheese business.

As COO, Claus Hansen will be responsible for operational management at a company that has carved out a high-volume niche. Nordex Food has a clear focus on the white cheese category and handles approximately 70,000 tonnes of cheese annually.

Claus Hansen is looking forward to putting his experience to work at his new employer:

Global player with full value chain
Nordex Food is today one of Northern Europe’s prominent producers and suppliers of white cheese. The company employs more than 500 people and operates across more than 70 markets worldwide, with an extensive range under strong brands serving retail, industry and foodservice alike.

Production is characterised by a high degree of complexity, and the company operates its own dairies — including Nørager Mejeri in Denmark as well as production facilities abroad. This gives Nordex Food control over key parts of the value chain from milk to finished product.

The appointment of Claus Hansen is consistent with the company’s ambitions to maintain an efficient and high-performing supply chain in a competitive international market.
