Former DMK chief executive Ingo Müller takes charge of Arla’s German business while continuing to drive the integration of the two dairy groups.
Ingo Müller, who has served as CEO of DMK Group, has been appointed Head of Germany in the merged Arla-DMK organisation with immediate effect, Arla Foods has announced.
The appointment forms part of Arla’s work to shape the combined organisation following the approved merger with DMK. In his new role, Müller reports to Mark Boot, Head of Europe at Arla. He also continues in his previously announced position as Chief Integration Officer within Arla’s executive management, with a direct reporting line to Arla CEO Peder Tuborgh. During the integration period, he will likewise continue as CEO of DMK Group.
“Germany is a key market for the combined company, and I’m proud to take on this role at such an important moment. We are bringing together strong capabilities, deep local expertise and highly committed colleagues, and our focus is clear: to build a strong, unified organisation while ensuring stability for our customers, farmers and partners,” Müller said.
Arla CEO Peder Tuborgh expressed confidence in the new German lead:
“Germany is one of our most important markets, and Ingo is the right person to lead the business forward. He brings deep market understanding, strong leadership and the trust of both colleagues and farmer owners.”
Transition to a joint operating model
From 3 June, the new German leadership team will begin defining the combined business’s strategic direction and assuming commercial profit and loss accountability for the German market. During the integration period, DMK will initially be managed as a separate business unit within the Arla structure under its existing leadership, while day-to-day operations across both organisations continue as normal. Arla has also announced a series of appointments to the German leadership team.
New appointments in Benelux and France
Alongside the German announcements, Arla has confirmed that Esther Tromp-Strijdveen will continue as Head of Benelux and France, with two new roles added to her leadership team. Ron Krekels is appointed Head of Uniekaas Holland B.V., and a new position of Head of Agriculture Benelux is also being created.
