The Danish dairy Mammen Mejerierne ended 2025 with a record turnover of DKK 2.1 billion and a post-tax profit of DKK 37.4 million.
Danish dairy company Mammen Mejerierne has for the first time in its history reported a turnover exceeding DKK 2 billion. The post-tax profit came in at DKK 37.4 million, which the company says is in line with its expectations for the year.
Export markets proved challenging at the start of the year. In the Middle East in particular, customers were working through substantial stock levels, dampening demand. The situation improved during the first half of the year, but on a full-year basis the company still recorded a decline in white cheese sales of more than 5 per cent compared with 2024.
Other product categories performed well. The fresh produce segment grew markedly in volume, and within protein-rich products, demand is reported to exceed what current supply can meet.
“We have seen positive development in 2025. Mammen Mejerierne has achieved a record turnover of more than DKK 2.1 billion and a solid profit of DKK 37.4 million. I consider this satisfactory, and the result is in line with our expectations for the year. At the same time, we have delivered a milk price above the national average,” says Lars Staunsbæk, Chief Executive and owner, in a press release.
Investment in skyr and new capacity
In 2025, the Danish dairy invested in expanding its production capacity — both to increase output of existing products and to enter new product categories, including skyr.
“It is extremely important to us to invest in an efficient production setup and to expand production within the categories the market is calling for,” says Peter Staunsbæk, Deputy Director and co-owner, in the press release.
Staunsbæk highlights the company’s spread across product categories and markets as a key foundation for its resilience: “We continue to become more adaptable, and we have a good spread across both product categories and markets. That is precisely what it takes to run a solid food business.”
Modest turnover decline expected in 2026
Mammen Mejerierne anticipates a slight fall in turnover in 2026 as a result of declining prices, while earnings are expected to remain at a level comparable to 2025.
“We live in a world where it is very difficult to predict the future. Geopolitics is challenging stability, but I am optimistic and believe that Mammen Mejerierne is well positioned for what lies ahead,” says Lars Staunsbæk.
Mammen Mejerierne is a family-owned Danish dairy headquartered in Mammen, near Bjerringbro in central Jutland. The company employs more than 300 people and exports dairy products to more than 65 countries worldwide.
