TINE continues to grow

The Norwegian dairy company TINE has increased its revenue but is selling fewer products internationally.

In the first four months of the year, Norwegian dairy company TINE achieved a revenue of NOK 9.6 billion, up from NOK 9 billion in the same period last year. Costs have increased at a slower pace than revenue, resulting in an operating profit increase from NOK 569 million in 2024 to NOK 688 million in 2025. The company’s operating margin rose from 6.2 percent in the first tertial of 2024 to 7.1 percent in the first tertial of 2025, according to the online publication Fødevarewatch.

  • The results show that we are still aligning with key trends like quality, health, and wellness. We’ve been successful in creating products people want, such as YT Protein, flavored TINE skimmed milk, and cottage cheese. Although consumption of whole milk continues to decline, we see that trust in the ‘white gold’ remains strong. This gives us the opportunity to seize new possibilities, be innovative, and develop food products that both taste good and do good, says Ann-Beth Freuchen, CEO of TINE.

Revenue in TINE International also grew during the first four months of the year, reaching NOK 1.5 billion—an increase of 5.5 percent compared to the same period in 2024.
However, this growth was not driven by increased volume, but rather by price increases.
