The Danish dairy group Uhrenholt  closed 2025 with growth in both revenue and net profit – but points to high raw material prices, geopolitical instability and foot-and-mouth disease as significant challenges.

Uhrenholt increased its revenue in 2025 by just over DKK 300 million to just under DKK 3.4 billion, according to the Danish agricultural media FødevareWatch. The company, which sells primarily dairy products to more than 125 markets, has in recent years moved towards a more focused dairy-oriented business model.

Operating profit, however, fell to DKK 104.6 million from DKK 112 million in 2024, while pre-tax profit came in at DKK 102.1 million. Net profit grew to DKK 77.5 million compared with DKK 73.7 million the previous year, and equity rose to DKK 271.5 million.

In the annual report, management describes 2025 as “a demanding year” marked by high raw material prices stemming from global supply chain disruptions and strong demand, as well as geopolitical unrest in several regions, which the report says created “an unpredictable business environment”.

Foot-and-mouth disease caused supply disruptions
Adding to these pressures was the outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease in Europe, which created serious challenges for the company’s dairy supply chain. The outbreak required tightened biosecurity measures and led to intermittent delivery shortfalls.

For 2026, the company expects pre-tax profit in the range of DKK 90–110 million, despite continued uncertainty over global market conditions.

Uhrenholt is led by chief executive and part-owner Sune Uhrenholt. The company recently announced that its long-serving chairman Jørgen Buhl Rasmussen will be succeeded by Tim Ørting Jørgensen, a former executive at Danish Crown.
