In a report evaluating the strength of all Nordic brands across industries, Valio takes the top spot.

In the Nordic 150 report, published by Brand Finance on September 2, Finnish company Valio ranks first. The ranking is divided into two parts: a valuation of the brand in monetary terms, and an analysis of brand strength—the Brand Strength Index (BSI), which assesses a brand’s positioning, image, and ability to generate long-term value.

Valio achieves an exceptionally high BSI score of 96.3 points on a scale from 0 to 100. The economic value of the Valio brand is estimated at €1.8 billion (approximately $2 billion USD).

In the Nordic 150 report, which covers all industries, Valio ranks number one in terms of BSI. ICA comes in second, while Prisma takes third place. The most valuable brand in the Nordics is Equinor, with an estimated value of around €14 billion.

In Brand Finance’s Food & Drink 2025 report (mentioned on the website on August 14), Valio is recognized as the strongest brand within both the food and dairy industries in Europe.
