The Dutch dairy group reduces the price of conventional milk by EUR 4.00 per 100 kilos, mirroring the move made by Arla.

In January, the Dutch dairy group FrieslandCampina will lower the guaranteed milk price for conventional milk by EUR 4.00 per 100 kilos, bringing the milk price down to EUR 39.50 per 100 kilos of milk delivered.

According to FrieslandCampina, the price adjustment is based on expectations of further reductions among reference companies, in line with declining base prices for dairy products.

Earlier, Arla reduced the milk price for conventional milk by DKK 0.298 per kilo, among other reasons due to a continued high global and EU milk supply.

Lower price for organic milk as well
At the same time, FrieslandCampina is adjusting the guaranteed milk price for organic milk. Here, the price is reduced by EUR 0.71 per 100 kilos, meaning that the organic milk price in January will stand at EUR 68 per 100 kilos of milk delivered.

According to the dairy group, price developments for organic milk are likewise in line with movements among reference companies.

With price adjustments at several major European dairies at the start of 2026, a picture is emerging of a market under pressure—both for conventional and organic milk.
