Søren Jensen becomes Interim Site Director in Pronsfeld

Arla’s experienced leader is stepping in as interim Site Director at the Pronsfeld dairy, one of Europe’s largest sites for milk powder and UHT production.

Arla has appointed Søren Jensen to temporarily lead the Pronsfeld facility after Stephan Goetz stepped down from his position as Senior Site Director with immediate effect. Pronsfeld is located in western Germany in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate – close to the borders with Luxembourg and Belgium – and is home to one of Europe’s largest dairies specialising in milk powder and UHT production.

For nearly 40 years, Søren Jensen has held several leadership roles at Arla – most recently serving as Vice President Production for Sweden and Finland. Over the coming period, he will be responsible for ensuring stable operations and supporting the local management team in Pronsfeld, while Arla begins an internal and external recruitment process to find a new permanent Site Director.

Ian Brown, SVP Supply Chain Central Europe, emphasises in a statement that Søren Jensen brings both deep production expertise and strong values to the role – qualities expected to be highly valuable during Pronsfeld’s transition period.

In addition to his long career at Arla, Søren Jensen is also chairman of the Association of Dairy Managers and Employees (FMF), Dairy Forum and Dairy Media.
