The British retail chain Tesco and its dairy suppliers Arla and Müller UK & Ireland have teamed up to spotlight sustainability in the dairy industry.
The “Future Dairy Partnership” is a groundbreaking UK collaboration that aims to accelerate the reduction of CO₂ emissions, improve animal welfare, and work collectively toward a sustainable future to transform the dairy industry.
To address challenges around climate change and the future of milk supply, Tesco, Arla, and Müller have committed to bringing together organizations across the UK dairy sector to cut farm emissions by 30% by 2030.
With both Arla and Müller in the partnership, all 400 farmers in Tesco’s Sustainable Dairy Group (TSDG) will be part of this initiative.
“We can achieve more together than alone, and with true collaboration, we can drive change. That’s why Arla and Tesco are inviting the rest of the dairy industry to join us on this journey through Arla’s partnership initiative,” says Bas Padberg, Managing Director of Arla Foods UK.
