Arla Foods and DMK Group are pleased to announce that the representative assemblies of both cooperatives have voted in favor of the proposed merger. The planned merger now awaits regulatory approval

The path is now clear for Europe’s largest dairy cooperative. Today, the representative assemblies of both Arla and DMK Group voted in support of the intention to merge the two companies. With a clear majority of “yes” votes in both Arla and in DMK and DOC Kaas (which together form the DMK Group), the results reflect strong shareholder backing for a merger aimed not only at securing growth but also at combining the best of both companies for the benefit of cooperative members, employees, customers, and consumers, according to a press release from Arla.

Since the proposed merger was announced, both Arla and DMK Group have held a series of member meetings to encourage open discussion and give cooperative members an opportunity to share their views and ask questions.

Jan Toft Nørgaard, Chairman of Arla Foods, said:
– I want to thank our cooperative members for their active participation. The approval by the representative assemblies confirms our shared belief that Arla and DMK Group are stronger together. With the approvals from the representative assemblies of Arla and DMK, the merger will now move forward to the regulatory review process, which is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2026.
