With the acquisition of ZewaTec Automation GmbH, Au2mate strengthens its position in the large German market and brings new expertise in batch systems and MES solutions into the group.
The Danish automation company Au2mate has signed an agreement to acquire a majority shareholding in ZewaTec Automation GmbH. The acquisition is intended to strengthen Au2mate’s position in the German market and expand its portfolio of digital solutions for the process industry, Au2mate states in a press release.
The agreement, signed in Hamburg on 15 January, means that Au2mate will initially acquire 60 per cent of the shares in the German company as of 28 February 2026. The remaining shares are planned to be transferred in mid-2028, after which the companies will be legally merged under the Au2mate name in Lübeck.
Founded in 2011, ZewaTec Automation employs 12 engineers. The company has built a strong position in Germany through its work with complex process industries and possesses deep technical expertise in technologies that are central to modern food production.
Strengthening capabilities in batch and MES
For the dairy industry, the acquisition is of particular interest, as ZewaTec brings strong capabilities in batch systems and MES integration with ERP platforms. These are areas that are increasingly in demand at dairies to ensure full traceability and optimized production.

Au2mate already delivers automation solutions, cybersecurity, and industrial AI to the process industry worldwide. With the integration of ZewaTec, the company expects to create significant value by combining the two companies’ global capabilities with strong local technical expertise.
